The net-zero transition finance opportunity

The Net Zero transition will require significant amount of financing to scale up green assets, enable an orderly phase-out of legacy brown assets and support their transition from “brown to green”. The latter will provide banks with diverse opportunities across sectors and regions.
This seminar will give non-executive directors of financial institutions an overview of the opportunities that this presents; it will also touch on the barriers that need to be overcome (including conflicting objectives vs reducing financed emissions), the capabilities required to assess transition plans, the economic context. We will debate the need to support local communities and some of the factors at play in ensuring a stable and ‘just’ transition.
This event will be hosted by Francesca Tondi Guy,  former banker, and non-executive Director and ESG Committee Chair of UniCredit Group and of Piraeus Bank, and moderated by Lucyna Stanczak-Wuczynska, Chair of the Supervisory Board of BNP Paribas Bank Polska, with expert contributors.
